"Who can change the world without me?"
- Ivenson, youth delegate from Haiti
The delegates from Honduras grew up in poor and working-class backgrounds. Two of them grew up going to a Street Library run in their neighborhood, bringing reading, computer, and creative activities to children whose access to education was often sporadic and limited by having to work to help their families make ends meet. The Street Library also connects children to others around the world through Tapori and other publications. Recently the coordination team of the Street Library worked with adults living in poverty to write a report about the different kinds of violence that people suffer due to poverty.
